The Role
This role will be central to our next phase of growth, and critical to our success in the US.
Over the past year, we’ve been turning our attention to the huge, untapped US market. Our product is built to compete in the US and now we’re working hard to get it in front of the market. The Senior Director of Sales will be responsible for closing 50% of the total addressable market in the US. Your mission will be to build relationships with all SMB event organizers in the US and get them to the point where they are excited to be taking all their bookings on our industry-leading platform.
These deals require care and a commitment to the organizers mission and passion for putting on their events. To succeed, you’ll need to roll up your sleeves and get involved to truly understand this segments’ pain points. You must be comfortable and experienced in taking deals from inception to close, and you’ll need to excel at managing multiple relationships within each prospect, as well as multiple prospects at one time.
You’ll be reporting into the Chief Revenue Officer, as well as working closely with the rest of the management team where needed. This role will be remote and CRO is located in Austin, TX. Much of the selling will be in-person, so you’ll need to be willing to travel.
Responsibilities
- Own full sales cycle for portfolio of SMB accounts, demonstrating the value of our product to event organizer leadership, and closing the deals.
- Structuring the product pitch in a consistently repeatable and scalable manner
- Will build proof of concept for sales process in the US to this segment. Upon traction being built, will begin to hire sales team to take proven process and repeat it to capture full market in the quickest window of time
- Draw up, execute, and own an engagement plan for key prospects, keeping pipeline full and engage
- Coordinate cross-functionally internally to achieve necessary requirements for launching sustainable partnerships with our event organizers
- Manage key stakeholders within the prospect during complex sales cycles
- Set up partnerships for long-term success by setting the right expectations and negotiating the right terms and commitments that are mutually beneficial
